Recruitment of Sales Professionals

Together with automobile development and production, Kiichiro Toyoda was conscious of the importance of sales from the start. He understood the necessity of highly experienced automobile sales personnel, so he recruited Shotaro Kamiya, the manager of the Tokyo office of General Motors-Japan Ltd., and made him responsible for all sales and marketing operations. Subsequently Shikanosuke Hanasaki and Seishi Kato, also former GM-Japan employees,began woorking for Toyoda Automatic Loom Works.
