Preparation for Mass Production System Under the Just-in-Time Concept

In November 1938, the first stage of construction for the Koromo Plant was completed, covering a site area of approximately 500,000 square meters and building area of approximately 200,000 square meters, with total construction costs coming to 45 million yen. The Koromo Plant was an integrated production plant that included all processes necessary for automobile production including casting and forging blank processes, machining, mechanical assembly, stamping, body assembly, painting, and overall assembly. Each process was laid out so they were connected, and the Koromo Plant formed the basis of future plants.

They held the completion ceremony on November 3rd, 1938.
