The ring spinning frame draws out the roving supplied from the fly frame process into finer yarns and twists the yarns and winds them up onto wooden bobbins. The exhibit is a machine developed by Toyoda Automatic Loom Works, Ltd. based on a machine manufactured by Platt Brothers & Co.
