Terms of Use of our Museum

In order to view comfortably for all visitors, it is highly appreciated to understand and observe the following policies;

Terms of Use in Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology

The followings are the terms and conditions for use of the Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology (hereinafter referred to as “the Museum”). Regardless of the admission fee to be paid or not, customers who do not abide by these terms and conditions may have the possibility to be denied entry to the Museum or asked to leave the premises.

  1. Please pay the designated admission fee to use the exhibition areas (Textile Machinery Pavilion, Automobile Pavilion, Technoland).
  2. Please follow this Terms of Use and the instructions of the Museum staff when using the free areas (library, restaurant, museum shop, etc.) in the Museum.
  3. The Museum is open from 9:30 to 17:00. The last entry (ticket sale) is at 16:30.
  4. The Museum may close temporarily due to storms, typhoons, natural disasters, etc. In the event of a temporary closure, admission fees will not be refunded.
  5. Please note that we may not be able to provide explanations and demonstrations of exhibits to visitors as desired, depending on the congestion level in the Museum and the availability of the Museum staffs.
  6. When providing guidance and explanations to groups, we may ask for the travel agency registration number registered with the government agency or the prefecture.
  7. The following items are not allowed to be brought into the Museum.
    Umbrella
    Umbrellas including parasol
    Photographic equipment
    Large photography camera
    Photographic support item
    Selfie stick, tripod
    Pet
    Pet including insects, except guide dogs, assistance dogs, and hearing dogs
    Carriers, skaters
    Carriers, skaters, excluding wheelchairs and strollers
    Drink(including Alcohol)
    PET bottles, water bottles, etc. with the lids on are allowed
    Food
    Allowed if they can be completely stored in a bag
    Balloons, toys, etc.
    Balloons, toys, etc. including rackets, balls, etc.
    Speaker equipment
    Gigaphones, megaphones, and other devices that project sound and voices to the outside, loudspeakers
  8. The following actions are prohibited.
    Entering the exhibition over the fence
    No entry, including rope partitions
    Sitting on fixed fences
    Touching exhibits and displays
    Includes a series of actions such as touching, sitting, climbing, etc.
    Taking pictures using auxiliary photography equipment
    Taking pictures using equipment attached to the main body such as reflectors and strobes
    Eating and drinking in the Museum other than designated areas of the Museum
     
    Smoking inside the building of the Museum
    Smoking is prohibited, including electronic and water cigarettes. Smoking is prohibited in the Power Garden, please use the designated smoking area outside.
    Taking pictures of the Museum staff and other customers
    Taking pictures of subjects without permission
    Recording audio and video of guided tour
    Entering the Museum while drunken
    Drinking alcohol excessively or causing a nuisance to other customers
    Using laser pointer or pointing stick
    Laser light may cause eye damage, and safety devices in exhibits may react
    Painting
    Using easels, sketching with paint, etc.
    Bringing in dangerous objects or fire
    Gathering and speech
    Unauthorized gathering and speech
    Commercial activities without the Museum’s consent
    Action to violate laws and regulations in Japan
    Any other actions that the Museum deems inappropriate
